Back when the UCB Theatre was at 161 W. 22nd Street, I heard that “The Tile Lady” who ran the tile store in the building next door would complain often about the noise, lines in front of her store, etc. and when the Theatre had to shut down and leave 161 in November 2002 due to fire code…
